The invention discloses external wall thermal insulation bonding mortar, which is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 180 to 270 parts of mixed aggregate, 60 to 90 parts of cementing materials, 25 to 40 parts of additives, 20 to 30 parts of lightweight aggregate, 8 to 12 parts of active mineral materials and 30 to 50 parts of water. According to the external wall thermal insulation bonding mortar, the composition of a gelling substance in the mortar is improved by doping an active mineral material, so that the bonding mortar is compact in structure, and the capability of resisting environmental erosion and damage is enhanced; natural sands with different particle sizes are selected and matched in a one-to-one mode to obtain mixed aggregate, so that the void ratio is reduced, and the compactness, strength and durability of the mortar are enhanced; by doping a moisture-proof agent, an anti-seepage agent and a waterproof agent, the waterproof and moisture-proof performance of the mortar is improved, and the bonding firmness between the mortar and a substrate is guaranteed; and a water reducing agent obtained by mixing triethanolamine, acetic acid, urea, oxalic acid and an amine and formaldehyde condensate in proportion reduces the water-cement ratio, enhances the strength and dry shrinkage performance of mortar and prolongs the durability of the mortar.
