A preparation method of a carbon/carbon composite brake material. In the method, propane gas is employed as a carbon source gas, so that compacting rate during a CVI process of a green body of the carbon/carbon composite brake material is increased by means of the characters that the propane gas is high in cracking speed at high temperature under a certain pressure. In the method, a compacting process is optimized in a manner of reducing two compacting operations in the prior art to one compacting operation, thereby reducing compacting period. A test proves that the preparation method enables the production period of the carbon/carbon composite brake material to be reduced by more than 50%.
