The invention relates to the technical field of building materials and provide a thermal insulation wall which has the advantages of lower cost, good thermal insulation effect, high strength, no production of radioactive elements, environmental protection and energy saving as well as a preparation method of the thermal insulation wall. The thermal insulation wall is formed by mixing slurry and water in the weight ratio of the water to the slurry being 0.4-0.44, wherein the slurry comprises raw material components in parts by weight as follows: 78-82 parts of cement, 20-23 parts of fly ash, 10-15 parts of plant fibers, 10-15 parts of glass fibers, 40-45 parts of an admixture, 7-12 parts of a foam stabilizer and 3-5 parts of a toner.
