The invention discloses a lifting platen of a stereo garage and a control method of the lifting platen and belongs to the technical field of stereo garage auxiliary equipment. The lifting platen comprises a stress-bearing plate, a connecting chain, a loose chain alarm, pressure detection units and a controller. The stress-bearing plate bears top-bottom and left-right motion of a vehicle in the stereo garage and moves in the stereo garage through the connecting chain. The loose chain alarm is connected with the controller and is fixedly mounted on the stereo garage in a position close to the chain for detecting the state of the chain, the loose chain alarm emits alarm light while the chain is loose or in a loose state, the pressure detection units connected with the controller are mounted at two ends of the stress-bearing plate and used for monitoring the vehicle on the stress-bearing plate. By modifying a loose chain switch and the stress-bearing plate and mounting an alarm light the pressure detection units, the problem is solved that waiting time is wasted due to the stress-bearing plate idling in air; the invention has the advantages that whether the stress-bearing plate is idle or not is automatically detected and the stress-bearing plate automatically moves to the ground while idling.
