The invention discloses a light wallboard for a building partition wall. The wallboard is prepared from, by weight, 24-32 parts of complex Portland cement, 2.5-3.5 parts of pulverized fuel ash, 30-35 parts of slag, 2.2-2.8 parts of AUA expansion agent, 3.5-4.5 parts of clay ceramsite, 30-35 parts of river sand, 1.2-1.8 parts of expanded perlite, 5.5-6.5 parts of composite material, 3.5-4.5 parts of volcanic rocks, 1.5-2.5 parts of wollastonite, 0.8-1.5 parts of silane coupling agent, 1-2 parts of stearic acid and 1-2 parts of lead sulfate tribasic. The volcanic rocks, the wollastonite, the silane coupling agent, the stearic acid and the lead sulfate tribasic are added into the wallboard, so that the wallboard has better physical and chemical properties and has good heat preservation and heat insulation performance.
