The invention relates to the field of building materials, particularly a rosin foaming agent. The rosin foaming agent comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 30-40 parts of carbolic acid, 2-5 parts of sulfuric acid, 3-6 parts of sodium hydroxide and 60-75 parts of rosin powder. The rosin foaming agent is prepared from the steps of: pouring the rosin powder, carbolic acid and sulfuric acid into a flask with stirring; slowly heating and stirring after addition, wherein the temperature is controlled between 70 DEG C and 80 DEG C; keeping warm for 6 hours with stirring; then adding a sodium hydroxide solution; heating the mixture for 2 hours, wherein the temperature is close to 100 DEG C; and filling the solution while the solution is hot in a storer to obtain the rosin foaming agent. The rosin foaming agent provided by the invention is simple in formula and easily available in raw materials, and is mainly used for preparing foam concrete or air-added concrete bricks. The product provided by the invention has uniform foaming, and solves the problem that the marketed foaming agent is poor in a dispersing effect and with non-uniform foaming.
