The invention discloses a preparation method of a polycarboxylic acid super slump retaining agent. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) adding unsaturated anhydride, a choline compound and a catalyst into a reaction kettle to be mixed, and under the protection of nitrogen, enabling thermostatic reaction at 40-60 DEG C for 6-10 h to obtain a first mixture obtaining an esterification product and unreacted unsaturated anhydride; (2) mixing the first mixture, polyether monomers and water, carrying out stirring till uniform dissolution, adding an oxidant, respectively dripping a reducing agent, unsaturated carboxylic ester monomers, unsaturated phosphate monomers and a water solution of a molecular weight modifier for 1.0-5.0 h after 8-12 min, enabling reaction under the ordinary-temperature condition, and enabling continual reaction for 0.5-2.0 h after dripping to obtain a copolymerization product; (3) neutralizing the copolymerization product with alkali to obtain a polycarboxylic acid super slump retaining agent. The polycarboxylic acid super slump retaining agent synthesized according to the preparation method has the advantages that the later-period slump retaining property of concrete is improved, better workability is obtained, the probabilities of lagging and bleeding are low, and meanwhile, the mud resistant effect and the early strength of concrete are improved.
