The invention discloses a connecting member for a steel structure. The connecting member for the steel structure comprises a connecting rod and a C-shaped fixing ring, wherein one end of the C-shaped fixing ring is fixedly connected with one end of the connecting rod, and a puller bolt is arranged at the other end of the C-shaped fixing ring. The connecting member for the steel structure further comprises a fixed clamping arm, a movable clamping arm and an adjusting bolt, wherein one end of the fixed clamping arm is fixedly connected with the other end of the connecting rod, and one end of the movable clamping arm is rotatably connected with the end part of the fixed clamping arm. The connecting member for the steel structure, disclosed by the invention, has the advantages that due to the fixed clamping arm, the movable clamping arm, the adjusting bolt and a spring, which are rotatably connected with one another, the connecting member can adapt to rod members of a relatively large diameter range and is wide in applicable range; meanwhile, the spring arranged between the fixed clamping arm and the movable clamping arm can enable the fixed clamping arm and the movable clamping arm to be automatically opened, so that the use is convenient.
