The invention provides a support device for a roof formwork. The support device comprises main keels and rider keels, wherein each main keel comprises a main shaping keel and a telescopic keel capable of stretching and retracting in the length direction of the main shaping keel, a first groove is formed in the top surface of the main keel in the length direction, a fixed joint and a sliding joint are arranged on the telescopic keel, second grooves are formed in the top surfaces of the fixed joint and the sliding joint, and paired positioning pieces are arranged in the first groove and the second grooves; each rider keel comprises a rider shaping keel and hasps, the hasps are fixed at two ends of the rider shaping keel and are in inserted connection with the first groove or the second grooves, and the hasps are mounted between two positioning pieces, so that a gridding structure is formed between the rider keel and the main keel.
