The invention discloses a preparing method of nano calcium hydroxide powder. The preparing method comprises following steps: a) proportionally mixing a dispersant and a surfactant in a liquid medium, and forming dissolution liquid: b) reacting the dissolution liquid, high purity calcium oxide and a defoaming agent in a ball mill and forming suspension slurry; c) drying the suspension slurry by a sprayer, and dispersing by ball milling, thus obtaining the nanoscale calcium oxide powder. The prepared nano calcium oxide powder product is high in product yield, stable in quality and narrow in particle size distribution, the reaction conditions are easily controlled and suitability for industrialized production is realized.
