The invention relates to a siliceous fireproof material and a preparation method thereof, wherein high purity silicon powder, pyrophyllite powder and fused quartz powder are adopted as main materials, high-quality clay powder is adopted as an auxiliary material, water adding, mixing, molding, drying and sintering are performed to prepare the siliceous fireproof material, and the raw materials comprise, by weight, 30-50 parts of high purity silicon powder, 20-40 parts of pyrophyllite powder, 15-35 parts of fused quartz powder, 5-10 parts of high-quality clay powder, and 3-5 parts of water. According to the present invention, the fireproof product has characteristics of long-term high use temperature, high normal-temperature compression strength, high loading deformation starting temperature, and high refractoriness, and is suitable for 7.5m coke ovens, glass melting kilns and the like.
