The invention discloses a garbage collection device for river and ditch flowing water. The garbage collection device structurally comprises a barrier and a fixer, a water inlet, a filter and a mounting plate are arranged on the barrier, a fixing plate, a limiting plate and a ground grabbing rod are arranged on the fixer, the fixing plate is welded to the limiting plate, the limiting plate is welded to the side surface of the mounting plate, and the ground grabbing rod is embedded in one side of the fixing plate. The garbage collection device has the beneficial effects that extruding is conducted on the garbage entering the water inlet through a rolling shaft in the filter, so that the garbage is compressed in an extruding pipe, and the garbage is collected and extruded; meanwhile, dredgingis conducted on the river water through a filtering screen, the water flow is prevented from being blocked during garbage collection, and the garbage collection and treatment of the river are facilitated accordingly; and through the combination of the fixing plate and the limiting plate, the ground grabbing rod is driven to be controlled through a rubber band so as to be inserted into the silt inthe river, fixing is conducted on the barrier, and the loss of the barrier due to the fact that barrier is washed away when the water flow is too large or too high is avoided.
