The invention discloses a method for widening a soft soil roadbed in a frozen soil area, which comprises the following steps of: S1, digging back the edge of an old roadbed to form a trapezoidal connecting end surface; S2, marking a pile sinking point in a to-be-broadened roadbed area on the edge of the old roadbed, enabling an immersed tube to go deep into the soft soil foundation by utilizing hammering equipment; throwing stone into the structural hole of the immersed tube to be vibrated and tamped such that the pile sinking operation is completed, wherein the to-be-broadened roadbed comprises a connection area and a common area; S3, laying a mattress layer on the to-be-broadened roadbed subjected to the pile sinking operation; and S4, arranging geogrids on the mattress layer. Accordingto the method, the technical problems that due to the fact that the geological liquid degree of the soft roadbed is high, disturbance of a conventional compaction treatment method to the foundation islarge, the stability of the lap joint structure of the new roadbed and the old roadbed is affected, construction is difficult to conduct in the frozen soil period, and construction needs to be conducted after shutdown and waiting for proper time are solved.
