The invention relates to a building wall which comprises a left wall and a right wall. An expansion joint reserved between the left wall and the right wall, and the left wall is connected with the right wall through an expansion joint device. The expansion joint device comprises a left fixing seat connected with the left wall, a right fixing seat connected with the right wall and an expansion plate group. The expansion plate group comprises a left fixing plate, a right fixing plate and a deformed plate. The left fixing plate can slide in the length direction of the left fixing seat, and an included angle between the left fixing plate and the left fixing seat is adjustable. The right fixing plate can slide in the length direction of the right fixing seat, and an included angle between the right fixing plate and the right fixing seat is adjustable. The deformed plate is rotationally connected between the left fixing plate and the right fixing plate through a transverse rotation shaft, and elastic components are respectively arranged at the top ends and the bottom ends of the inner side faces of the left fixing plate and the right fixing plate. When the wall has uneven settlement, thejoint between the wall and the expansion joint device is not easy to break.
