The invention provides a novel steel formwork. The novel steel formwork comprises a steel formwork main body, a groove, a telescopic plate, a sliding device, sliding rods, sliding grooves, sliding sleeves, connecting rods, a telescopic control device, a long screw, threaded caps, fixing frames, fixing blocks, a driving motor, a driven wheel, a driving wheel, a threaded hole, a rotating shaft and asupporting plate, wherein the left side and the right side of the telescopic plate are connected with the sliding device through the connecting rods respectively; the bottom end of the telescopic plate is fixedly connected with one threaded cap through one fixing frame, and the threaded cap is connected to the driven wheel through threads of the long screw and the threaded hole; the driven wheelis in meshing connection with the driving wheel, and the driving motor drives the driving wheel to rotate through the rotating shaft; the telescopic control device comprises the driving motor, the driven wheel and the driving wheel; and the long screw is sequentially in threaded connection with the threaded cap, the threaded hole and the threaded cap from top to bottom.
