To provide a steel mold formwork with heat insulating properties that can reduce labor required for installation and maintenance.SOLUTION: A steel mold formwork 1 according to embodiment is a steel mold formwork for concrete, and includes a face plate 2, a peripheral rib 3 that erects along the outer periphery of the face plate 2, a center rib 4 that partitions the inside of the framework surrounded with the peripheral rib 3, and heat insulating paint 5 applied on a back surface 22 side of the face plate 2. The heat insulating paint 5 includes porous materials. The heat insulating paint 5 includes silica aerogel.
