The invention discloses a waterproof wall material prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight. 30-40 parts of paraffin, 5-15 parts of rosin, 2-15 parts of an emulsifier, 10-15 partsof modified starch, 5-8 parts of calcium carbide, 10-20 parts of gypsum, 35-40 parts of diatomite, 5-8 parts of straw fibers, 7-9 parts of expanded perlite, 11-13 parts of ash calcium powder, 2-4 parts of graphite, 5-10 parts of hollow glass beads, 2-5 parts of a water reducing agent and 1-4 parts of a foaming agent. A preparation method comprises the steps: step 1, weighing the raw materials according to the proportion; and step 2, putting the raw materials weighed in the step 1 into a ball mill, finely grinding to 200-300 meshes, then pouring the finely ground mixed powder into a stirring tank, stirring while heating, and then naturally cooling to obtain the product. The waterproof wall material overcomes the defect that an existing wall material is poor in waterproof performance.
