The invention relates to a box type substation rolling curtain type safety door. A soft curtain door body, sliding rails, a roll shaft, a rotation shaft, a motor, installing frames, a rotation rod, chain wheels and chains are included. The two sliding rails are arranged and symmetrically installed on the two sides of a gate of a substation body. The two sides, close to the top end, of the substation body are symmetrically and fixedly connected with the two installing frames. The roll shaft is rotationally connected to the two installing frames through the rotation shaft. One end of the soft curtain door body is fixedly connected to the roll shaft, the soft curtain door body is in sliding connection to the two sliding rails, the rotation rod is rotationally connected to the two installing frames, the motor can be started to drive the rotation rod to rotate, the roll shaft is driven to rotate through cooperation of the chain wheels and the chains, and the roll shaft is used for conducting winding storage or unwinding of the soft curtain door body; and accordingly through the arrangement of the rolling curtain door body, only the vertical space is occupied, the parallel space is not occupied, and the usage space is greatly saved.
