The invention discloses a novel environment-friendly clay sculpture material and a preparation method thereof. The formula comprises the following components in parts by weight: 50-60 parts of lime, 15-20 parts of clay, 2-3 parts of cotton fiber, 1-2 parts of paper, 5-10 parts of bran, 15-20 parts of yellow mud, 20-30 parts of bamboo charcoal and 8-15 parts of plant starch. The preparation methodcomprises the following steps: step 1, selecting raw materials; 2, performing raw material pretreatment; 3, grinding and sieving; 4, integrally mixing; and step 5, sealing and packaging. The inventiondiscloses the novel environment-friendly clay sculpture material and the preparation method thereof. Premixes such as the cotton fiber and the paper are added into an original clay formula, the raw material cost is reduced while the viscosity of a finished product is increased, the added bamboo charcoal can enable the clay sculpture prepared from the clay sculpture raw material to adsorb harmfulsubstances in air, the clay sculpture raw material is environmentally friendly and durable, the bran can reduce emission pollution, and the clay sculpture raw material is reusable and environmentallyfriendly.
