The invention discloses a sound insulation coal gangue porous brick and a manufacturing method thereof. The brick comprises a brick body, a plurality of through holes are formed in the brick body; sound insulation grooves are formed in the two sides of the through hole. The sound insulation grooves are filled with sound insulation slurry; cutting grooves are formed in the brick body, the brick body is divided into four equal parts by the cutting grooves, and the brick body comprises the following components in parts by weight: 50-65 parts of coal gangue, 15-25 parts of expanded and vitrified micro bubbles, 10-20 parts of bentonite powder and 1.5-3 parts of asbestos powder. The consumption of raw materials can be saved and the internal quality of the formed blank is ensured to be stable. The forming pressure is high, and the blank strength is high; the coal gangue is combusted by utilizing the heat productivity of the coal gangue, energy is saved, pollution is reduced, the brick body isfilled with the sound insulation slurry, the sound insulation effect is good, and the preparation process is simple.
