A method for operating a motorized door adjusting device of a motor vehicle, comprising an actuator (30) and a door (26) driven by it. A closing command (42) is detected, and the actuator (30) is actuated to perform a closing process of the door (26). During the closing process, an activity (60) of a user (62) in an interior space (4) of the motor (2) vehicle is monitored, and if a designated activity (66) is present, which indicates a desire of the user to exit, a warning signal is output. The invention further relates to a motorized door adjusting device (24) of a motor vehicle (2).
