The invention provides a special adhesive for MLCC and a preparation method thereof. The special adhesive for the MLCC comprises the following components in parts by mass: 15-35 parts of polyvinyl butyral, 50-85 parts of a solvent, 3-15 parts of a plasticizer, 1-5 parts of a stabilizer and 3-8 parts of a modification auxiliary agent. The special adhesive for the MLCC provided by the invention is strong in applicability, so the adjusting space of a ceramic slurry formula is wider, and the ceramic powder is better dispersed; meanwhile, the prepared ceramic slurry is good in viscosity and densitystability, excellent in film casting quality, capable of casting thinner films and easier to be stripped from PET films.
