The invention relates to an adhesive for MLCC as well as a preparation method and application thereof, and relates to the technical field of adhesives. The adhesive is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 6 to 8 parts of polyvinyl alcohol resin, 6 to 12 parts of polyethylene glycol, 0.3 to 0.7 part of amine neutralizer, 1.1 to 1.9 parts of modification additive and the balance of solvent. The adhesive can solve the problems that too many bubbles are generated in the water-based tape casting process, the wettability to ceramic powder is poor, and the defects of pinholes, cracks and the like appear on a tape casting film belt; besides, after the casting film belt is subjected to subsequent treatment processes such as lamination, cutting and printing, the mechanical property and the electrical property of an obtained component product are close to those of an existing non-aqueous casting process, so that the pollution and the cost in the casting process are reduced.
