The invention discloses a light shale brick. The light shale brick comprises a brick body; the brick body is of a cuboid structure; the outer surface of the brick body is provided with a heat insulating layer; a plurality of hollow strip-shaped parts are arranged inside the brick body and are arranged in the height direction of the brick body; and the cross section of each strip-shaped part is ina capsule shape. The shale brick disclosed by the invention is light in weight, stable in shape and structure and not prone to being deformed, and has a heat insulation function.
