The invention relates to a steel tube node design, in particular to a hollow sandwich steel tube node. The hollow sandwich steel tube node comprises an outer-layer steel tube (1), an inner-layer steeltube (2), sandwich concrete (3) and a polygonal node plate (4), wherein the inner-layer steel tube (2) is arranged in the outer-layer steel tube (1), the sandwich concrete (3) is arranged between theinner-layer steel tube (2) and the outer-layer steel tube (1), the polygon node plate (4) is arranged at the bottom of the outer-layer steel tube (1), a connecting component (6) is arranged at the bottom of the polygonal node plate (4), concrete is filled in the outer-layer steel tube and the inner-layer steel tube, the interior concrete and the outer-layer steel tube form a whole common stress,and the stress performance of the hollow sandwich steel tube node is superior to the simple superposition of the performance of two materials. The structure can give full play to and utilize the characteristics of steel and concrete materials, and complementation of advantages is achieved in the aspect of performance.
