According to the invention, ironoxide red, cobalt powder, hafnium oxide, nickel powder, copper powder, carbon black, graphite powder and the like are added into raw materials and fused with other materials in the raw materials, so that the mechanical strength of a finished product carbon slider can be supplemented, and the finished product carbon slider is not prone to breaking and cracking. The preparation process comprises thefollowing steps: grinding the raw materials, carrying out compression molding and copper immersion, and finally sintering and carbonizing, thereby enhancing the density and strength of the carbon slider material. The volume density of the prepared pantograph carbon slider composite material is 8.0-9.0 g/cm<3>, the tensile strength is greater than or equal to 180 Mpa, the impact toughness is greater than or equal to 12J/cm<2>, the resistivity at 20 DEG C is less than or equal to 0.20 mu omega.m, and the Rockwell hardness (HBS) is 60-100.
