The invention discloses a safety anti-collision device for a road guardrail. The safety anti-collision device comprises: a stand column, a guardrail which comprises a metal fixing plate arranged in awave shape, a buffer cushion layer and a protection mechanism, wherein the metal fixing plate is fixedly connected to the stand column, the buffer cushion layer is arranged on the surface, facing theroad, of the metal fixing plate, the protection mechanism comprises a protection layer which is a protection plate arranged outside the buffer cushion layer; the protective layer can slide along the grooves in the stand columns, a driving module which is connected to the protective layer; a control mechanism which comprises a distance measuring module and a control module, wherein the control module is connected with the driving module, when the distance measuring module detects that the distance between a running vehicle and the stand column is smaller than a preset first threshold value, a trigger control module controls the drive module to drive the protective layer to move downwards so that the buffer cushion layer can be exposed. It is guaranteed that the guardrail device has enough strength, the dynamic shearing force borne by a collided vehicle can be reduced to the maximum extent, and therefore the safety of passengers in the vehicle is protected to the maximum extent.
