The invention relates to a construction method of a large-area terrace. The construction method comprises the following steps that S1, leveling the ground, paving a cinder bed and compacting are performed; S2, a plurality of independent main construction areas are divided, and passages exist between the adjacent main construction areas; S3, formworks are built in all the main construction areas respectively; S4, steel bar frames are installed, and all the steel bar frames in the main construction areas and the passages are connected together; S5, concrete is poured into the formworks in sequence to form a concrete layer; S6, after the concrete layers are preliminarily solidified, the formworks are dismantled, and the concrete is poured into the passages in sequence to connect the concretelayers in the main construction areas together; and S7, surface layer construction is performed. According to the construction method, through steel bars penetrating through through holes, the steel bar frames in the main construction areas and the steel bar frames in the passages are connected together to form a finished steel bar frame structure, the force transmission capacity is improved, andthe bearing capacity of the formed terrace is enhanced.
