The invention relates to an anti-cracking gypsum-based light material. The anti-cracking gypsum-based light material comprises, by mass, 100 parts of building gypsum, 75 to 95 parts of water, 45 to 65parts of glass beads, 0.3 to 0.6 part of polyvinyl alcohol fibers, 8 to 15 parts of rubber particles, 0.2 to 0.6 part of a silane coupling agent, 0.2 to 0.6 part of an adhesive, 0.2 to 0.6 part of awater retaining agent, 0.2 to 0.6 part of a water reducing agent and 0.2 to 0.6 part of a retarder. The rubber particles with different particle sizes, the glass beads, the gypsum cementing material and the like are filled step by step according to a certain mass ratio, and besides grading optimization among multiple phases, in-phase particle grading optimization is further increased to improve the compatibility among the multiple phases in a matching manner. The gypsum-based light material which is low in dry density, excellent in deformation damage resistance and good in heat preservation and heat insulation performance is obtained by further combining the interaction of other auxiliary components.
