The invention discloses an intercepting well and a use method thereof. The intercepting well comprises a well body and a well lid arranged on the top of the well body, wherein the left side and the right side of the well body independently communicate with a water feeding pipe and a water discharging pipe. The intercepting well also comprises a sewage processing mechanism and a mud removal mechanism, wherein the sewage processing mechanism comprises a box body detachably connected in the well body; the inner side wall of the box body is fixedly connected with a partitioning board; the portioning board is provided with a through hole; the left side wall and the right side wall of the box body are independently provided with a water inlet and a water outlet; the water inlet is arranged towards the water feeding pipe; the middle of the inner side wall of the box body is fixedly connected with a protection box; a movement board is movably connected in the protection box; and one end of themovement board is fixedly connected with a connecting rod. The intercepting well is convenient to carry out purification processing on water, and meanwhile, a function of filtering water which entersthe well body can be realized.
