The hourglass window mainly includes a window frame, a glass frame, double glazing, shading sand, a sand storage chamber and a rotating shaft. The hourglass window is lightproof without the curtains. The shading sand in the sand storage chamber is filled in the space between the double glazing to play the role of shading, when daylighting is needed, by turning over the window, the shading sand in an interlayer can all flow back in the sand storage chamber, and the window has the daylighting function again. A waterproof and anti-aging glass sealant is used to seal the double glazing, so that the situation that the use effect is affected due to caking and adhesion of the shading sand caused by moisture entering the shading sand is avoided, and the service life of products is prolonged; and the hourglass window is simple in design, high in functionality, easy to use, low in cost, and widely used in smart home, warehouses, transportation and other fields.
