The invention relates to a soft foundation riverway retaining wall, and belongs to the technical field of riverway protection construction. The soft foundation riverway retaining wall comprises original soil layers, bases, the retaining walls and pressing tops, wherein the bases are arranged at the bottom of a riverbed, and the bottom surfaces of the bases are fixed to the original soil layer at the bottom of the riverbed; the retaining walls are arranged on the bases and located on the original soil layer on the two sides of the riverway; and the pressing tops are arranged at the top of the retaining walls and fixed to the original soil layer on the two sides of the riverway. The retaining wall comprises a plurality of supporting columns vertically arranged on the two sides of the bases,a plurality of supporting tables horizontally connected between the supporting columns and a plurality of retaining bricks arranged between the two supporting columns and located between the two supporting columns, wherein the plurality of retaining bricks are fixed through connecting pieces. According to the soft foundation riverway retaining wall, floods can be effectively fought, meanwhile, thesubstance exchange capacity between a soil body and a water body can be improved, and the problem of water and soil loss is avoided.
