The road green belt system comprises a green belt arranged inthe middle of a road, wherein a water storage pool is arranged at the bottom of the green belt, a permeable plate is arranged at a top end of the water storage pool, a seepage layer is arranged between the permeable plate and the green belt, an upper end of a side wall of the water storage pool is connected with an overflow pipe, the other end of the overflow pipe is connected with a municipal drainage pipe, a plurality of irrigation devices are evenly distributed on the green belt in the length direction of the green belt, and the irrigation devices are communicated with the water storage pool. The road green belt system is advantaged in that the water storage pool is arranged at the bottom of the green belt, the irrigation devices are arranged on the green belt, rainwater falling on thegreen belt enters the water storage pool to be stored through the water seepage layer and the water permeable plate in rainy days, road water accumulation is relieved, moreover, the irrigation devicescan take the water from the water storage pool when irrigation is needed, and therefore rainwater resources are fully utilized. The method is good in use effect and easy to popularize and use.
