The invention discloses an ecological channel revetment and a construction method thereof, and relates to the technical field of channel revetment construction. A revetment body is included and comprises an immersion partition section, a greening permeation section and a plant planting section. The immersion partition section comprises an embankment protection slope surface and a salt and alkali permeation preventing layer. The plant planting section comprises surface-layer salt and alkali resisting plants and a soil layer interior water storage layer. The greening permeation section comprisesa concrete constructed slope surface and surface-layer greening plants. The ecological channel revetment is composed of the revetment body, the immersion partition section, the greening permeation section and the plant planting section. When salt and alkali are prevented from eroding the revetment body, water permeation exchange of the revetment body and a surrounding water body is achieved, thenthe purpose of planting the surface-layer greening plants and the surface-layer salt and alkali resisting plants is achieved, the purposes of water storage slope fixing and salt and alkali erosion preventing are achieved, and accordingly the purposes of improving the safety of the channel revetment structure under the high salt and alkali environment condition at the coastal position or the inland river and guaranteeing ship navigation safety are achieved.
