The invention provides an ecological revetment structure. The ecological revetment structure comprises two side piles, an upstream face inserting plate pile and a soil facing face inserting plate pile, wherein the upstream face inserting plate pile and the soil facing face inserting plate pile are arranged between the two side piles, and a hollow cavity is formed among the two side piles, the upstream face inserting plate pile and the soil facing face inserting plate pile; and a water stop plate is arranged in the cavity and divides the cavity into an aquatic area located on the lower portionand a terrestrial area located on the upper portion, communicating parts for allowing plants to grow outwards are formed in the positions, corresponding to the aquatic area and the terrestrial area, of the upstream face inserting plate piles correspondingly, and a plurality of water seepage openings are formed in the positions, corresponding to the aquatic area and the terrestrial area, of the soil facing face inserting plate piles correspondingly. The invention further provides a construction method of the ecological revetment structure. The ecological revetment structure is suitable for being arranged on revetments of riverways, lakes and other water bodies which are lack of surrounding land resources and large in land acquisition and removal difficulty, has the safety and reliability ofan artificial revetment structure, also has the high ecological landscape function and has the good economic and practical value.
