The invention discloses a sliding support assembly for a metal roof. The sliding support assembly comprises a base and a sliding sheet, wherein the base is fixed onto a roof supporting structure; a stopping part and a snap sliding groove with two open ends are formed on the base; a fastening part fixed to the metal roof in a fastening manner is formed at the upper part of the sliding sheet; a snapsliding bar is convexly formed on the sliding sheet; the snap sliding bar is arranged in the snap sliding groove in a snapped manner and can slide along the snap sliding groove; the left end and theright end in the sliding direction of the sliding sheet are provided with a left stopping key and a right stopping key respectively; and the left stopping key and the right stopping key can cooperatewith the stopping part for stopping. According to the technical scheme of the invention, the anti-stress performance of a connecting support can be greatly enhanced, and meanwhile, high strength of the support is maintained, and the stability and safety of a connecting structure of the metal roof are promoted.
