The chute-type nonlinear energy trap vibration damping device comprises a base and a vibration damping mechanism; bolted holes for being fixedly connected with a structure to be vibration-damped are reserved in the base; the vibration damping mechanism comprises a pair of metal chutes parallel to each other and arranged on the upper end surface of the base; the bottom ends of the metal chutes are fixedly connectedto the upper end surface of the base; a pair of nonlinear energy traps are slidingly connected to any of the metal chutes; a mass box is arranged between the metal chutes and positioned above the nonlinear energy traps; a non-linear spring is arranged between the lower end surface of the mass box and the upper end surface of any non-linear energy trap; and the upper ends of the nonlinear springs are fixedly connected with the corners of the lower end surface of the adjacent mass box, and the lower ends of the nonlinear springs are fixedly connected with the upper end surfaces of the nonlinearenergy traps. The chute-type nonlinear energy trap vibration damping device is simple in structure, is easy to operate, is provided with replaceable components, is applicable to the suppression of single-freedom and two-freedom structural vibrations, is remarkable in vibration reduction effect, and is high in frequency domain robustness.
