The preparation method comprises the following steps: carrying out wet ball milling on raw materials including silicate tailings, manganese slag, steel slag, potassium feldspar, bentonite and a foaming agent to obtain slurry; drying and sieving the obtained slurry, carrying out compression molding to obtain a ceramic body, and sintering the ceramic body to obtain the high-strength foamed ceramic; the method has the advantages that the process is simple, the sintering energy consumption is low, the industrial production of the ceramic is facilitated, the raw materials are mainly from solid wastes, and the environmental pressure caused by tailings and metallurgical slag is favorably relieved.
