In order to solve the problems of scouring, dredging and erosion and bank caving damage to a bank slope main body and damming of a riverway by landslide due to action of precipitation and river erosion and the like, a permeable energy dissipation typeecological bank protection structure is made by hydrophilic (aquatic) plants combined with a geosynthetic material. The structure can have a comprehensive function of preventing a condition that flood abatement cannot be carried out due to damming of the riverway as a result of overflowing, scouring preventing and landslide preventing at the same time.
