The invention relates to the field of building construction, in particular to an aluminum alloy formwork and an installation method thereof. The aluminum alloy formwork comprises a body, the body is formed by splicing two first formworks and a second formwork through an installation device, each first formwork is provided with a channel, connecting plates are erected on the two channels, the firstformworks are provided with groove holes and buttons, the channels are provided with first grooves, the second formwork comprises a second groove, the connecting plates comprise an upper connecting plate and a lower connecting plate, the lower connecting plate is composed of a rotating shell and a rotating device, an internal thread and a fixing groove are formed in the rotating shell, and the rotating device is composed of a rotating disc and a fixing shaft. The technical problem that in the prior art, the splicing efficiency is poor is solved; by operating the buttons or rotating the rotating shell, external force is applied to a connecting main rod or the applied external force disappears, the installation device is controlled to be fixed or not fixed any more, the splicing and disassembling effects can be achieved, the splicing time is greatly shortened, the splicing difficulty is greatly reduced, and the splicing efficiency is improved.
