The invention discloses an automatic water replenishing and changing device for a sewer water seal. A drainage part is connected with a water seal part, wherein a water replenishing tank communicateswith the drainage part through a water replenishing pipe; the water replenishing tank is provided with an electric control valve for replenishing water to the drainage part and the water seal part ina matched mode; the electric control valve is electrically connected with a controller; positioning devices are arranged on the outer side wall of the drainage part; a water level sensor and a liquiddetector are installed in the corresponding positioning devices; the water level sensor is positioned on the outer side of the water seal part; the liquid detector is positioned on the outer side of the drainage part; and the controller is electrically connected with the water level sensor and the liquid detector. The invention further discloses a sewer water seal water replenishing method. Watercan be replenished in time, the water seal does not lose efficacy, odor diffusion is avoided, and indoor air quality is guaranteed; and water in the water seal part can be replaced in time, virus andbacterium breeding of the drained water is avoided, and the risk that viruses and bacteria infect the human body is reduced.
