According to the assembly type formwork and the construction method thereof, an adjusting module is arranged between the first side formwork body and the second side formwork body, the distance between two fixing plates can be adjusted through rotation of a threaded sleeve, and thus two sliding sleeves are slidably connected with the two first guiderods correspondingly; and the two sliding sleeves are pushed to be connected with the first guide rods and the second guide rods correspondingly, thus the connecting positions of the adjacent first side formwork body and second side formwork body can be subjected to auxiliary supporting, then the supporting strength of the side formwork bodies can be improved, the situation of pouring dislocationis avoided, and as a result, the pouring quality can be improved, and the workload of workers can be reduced.
