The invention discloses a concrete water reducing agent as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The preparation method of the concrete water reducing agent comprises the following steps: adding 20-30 parts by weight of lignosulfonate, 10-20 parts by weight of water and 0.8-2 parts by weight of a catalyst into a reaction kettle, heating the reaction kettle to 45-55 DEG C, stirringfor 15-18 minutes; adding 5-10 parts by weight of an acetate solution with a mass concentration of 30-45% into the reaction kettle, stirring for 8-12 minutes at a temperature of 60-70 DEG C; adding 10-15 parts of sodium sulfate, keeping the temperature of the reaction kettle at 80-100 DEG C for 3-4 hours; and reducing the temperature of the reaction kettle to the room temperature to obtain the concrete water reducing agent. The lignosulfonate is modified, so that the comprehensive performance of the concrete water reducing agent is enhanced, and the performance of concrete is improved.
