The invention discloses a mineral wool acoustic board capable of releasing negative oxygen ions and a preparation method thereof. A plate blank of the mineral wool acoustic board comprises mineral wool fibers and tourmaline powder. The preparation method comprises the following steps: adding mineral wool fibers and tourmaline powder into water, uniformly stirring; adding inorganic reinforced fibers and a binder, stirring, pulping; adding a flocculating agent, stirring, flocculating; filtering, moulding, drying to obtain a plate blank of the mineral wool acoustic board; polishing the surface ofthe plate blank, spraying an aqueous coating, and drying to obtain the energy saving mineral wool decorative acoustic board. The mineral wool acoustic board can release many negative oxygen ions, hasthe function of purifying the environment, and is simple in preparation process and low in cost.
