The planting method adopts a cultivation pot which comprises a pot body, an absorption mechanism and an injection mechanism, wherein a water storage groove is arranged in the pot body; the absorption mechanism is arranged in the water storage groove and comprises ablocking block; the inner end of the blocking block is elastically connected with and arranged on the inner wall of the water storage groove through a spring; a filter screen is fixedly connected with and arranged on the periphery of the front end surface of the blocking block; the injection mechanism is arranged in the pot body and comprises a working pipe, a first working cavity, a second working cavity, a sliding block, a water conveying pipe and dispersion holes; the working pipe is fixedly mounted on the inner wall of the pot body in an obliquely upward manner and is in a splayed shape;and the first working cavity is arranged int he working pipe. The garden potted plant planting method provided by the invention is mainly used for solving the problems of incapability of checking theresidual amount of water in a cultivation pot in real time, the need of manual watering due to incapability of collecting redundant rainwater in cloudy and rainy days and slow wetting of soil in the cultivation pot for a conventional outdoor cultivation pot.
