The invention discloses a magnesium oxysulfate modifier, and relates to the field of magnesium oxysulfate cementing materials. The modifier is prepared by mixing 15-30 parts of malic acid or malate, 15-30 parts of 1, 2-propylene glycol, 15-30 parts of an organosilicon waterproofing agent, 5-20 parts of acrylate, and 5-20 parts of a vinyl acetate-acrylate copolymer emulsion under stirring of a stirrer. The invention provides a blend of malic acid or malate, 1.2 propylene glycol, an organosilicon waterproofing agent, acrylate and a vinyl acetate-acrylate copolymer emulsion according to a certainweight ratio; a modifier is prepared at a certain rotating speed under the action of a stirrer and is mixed with light calcined magnesia and a magnesium sulfate solution according to a certain ratio,so that the setting time of the magnesium oxysulfate cement is greatly prolonged, the breaking strength of the magnesium oxysulfate cement is improved, the compressive strength and the water resistance are greatly improved, and the product is prevented from cracking.
