The invention discloses a method for preparing ceramic from spodumene slag instead of kaolin. A formula for preparing the ceramic comprises a ceramic blank and a ceramic glaze. The ceramic blank comprises the following raw materials in percentage by mass: 50 to 75 wt% of spodumene slag, 10 to 20 wt% of quartz sand, 1 to 10 wt% of potassium feldspar and 1 to 10 wt% of albite. The ceramic glaze comprises the following raw materials in percentage by mass: 40 to 60 wt% of spodumene slag, 15 to 40 wt% of quartz sand, 15 to 20 wt% of feldspar and 1 to 10 wt% of chinastone. The method comprises the following steps: adding the raw materials according to corresponding proportions thereof, carrying out uniform mixing, firing the ceramic blank at 1100-1250 DEG C for 12 hours or more, and firing the ceramic glaze at 1200-1300 DEG C for 15-48 hours. The spodumene slag is used for replacing kaolin and other ores to prepare a ceramic material, and the utilization rate of spodumene is high.
