The invention discloses a novel composite constraint square steel tube concrete column, and relates to the field of assembling type constructional engineering. The novel composite constraint square steel tube concrete column comprises a reinforcement cage, a square steel tube, stiffening ribs and core concrete, wherein four inner walls of the square steel tube are independently welded with the stiffening rib; the square reinforcement cage is arranged in the square steel tube; four longitudinal ribs of the reinforcement cage are independently connected with four stiffening ribs; and the core concrete is poured in the square steel tube. The square steel tube and square stirrups perform a composite constraint effect on the core concrete, large confining pressure is provided, the core concreteis under a three-directional stress state, the compression bearing capacity of the concrete is increased, and the brittle failure of the concrete is delayed. In addition, requirements, including goodeconomic efficiency, a simple production technology, convenience in construction and installation and the like, can be met, and the novel composite constraint square steel tube concrete column can bewidely applied to an assembling type structural system.
