The invention provides a pottery clay sintered sponge water storage brick which is suitable for being used in northern alpine regions and is used for ecologically paving a new material in a sponge city. The brick is mainly prepared from the following components in percentage by weight: 50 to 55 percent of pottery clay, 10 to 15 percent of coal gangue, 10 percent of iron slag, 20 percent of potassium feldspar and 0.5 percent of barium titanate, wherein the main component of the iron slag is ferric oxide. The brick provided by the invention can effectively overcome one or more technical defectsof an existing sponge city construction ecological paving material; for example, the pottery clay sintered sponge water storage brick provided by the invention can effectively improve the anti-freezing performance in the aspect of freeze thawing resistance, has high strength, can resist rolling of cars, has long service life and good permeation and water storage properties, and can solve the urbanheat island effect.
