The invention discloses a low-cost zirconium-free white glaze suitable for sanitary ceramics and daily ceramics. The low-cost zirconium-free white glaze is prepared from the following raw material components in parts by weight: 20 to 30 parts of quartz, 28 to 38 parts of feldspar, 5 to 10 parts of Huizhou washed white clay, 10 to 20 parts of calcium metasilicate, 5 to 12 parts of medium-temperature frit, 2 to 8 parts of calcined talc, 3 to 11 parts of calcined zinc oxide, 3 to 8 parts of apatite and 0.2 to 0.5 part of an additive sodium carboxymethyl cellulose. According to the invention, theapatite and high-calcium raw materials (calcium metasilicate and medium-temperature frit) contained in the low-cost zirconium-free white glaze can enable the glaze to generate phase splitting when theglaze is molten, and when the glaze is molten, the melt containing potassium and sodium and the melt containing calcium and magnesium are subjected to phase splitting to generate the multi-liquid-phase melt, so that the whitening effect is achieved; and the firing range of the glaze is widened through the zinc oxide and the medium-temperature frit, so that the defect that the firing range is narrow due to the high magnesium content in the glaze is overcome.
